Overview
Whether it's spring, summer, fall or winter, Peninsula Recreation Area gives visitors an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. With its wide range of fields, trails, and other facilities, this park has a number of options for everyone.
Most facilities are available on a first-come-first-served basis, which means that an impromptu activity is a definite possibility. Fourth of July picnics are a popular option with families, as well as the Peak One Disc Golf Course, located in the park.
Softball and baseball are played at the maintained ball field, which means all you need to bring is your mitts, a bat, a ball and some of your best friends. Try your skills at the skateboard park or take advantage of the miles of trails by going for a run or strapping on cross-country skis in the winter months.
Inside the Peninsula Recreation Area are a number of campgrounds for those who want to spend a night under the open Colorado stars.
